Yuki Yuki Yasumi was never meant to be
a live/touring band. It was first envisioned as a solo project, and
then I brought one other person into the fold. So Yuki is technically
a duo. We usually perform as duo with a music video backing track.
However in 2010, we ended up booking a
string of shows for our band Wheeling Bitch Circus and we kind of
ended up not having all of our members. Steve, Jack and I were
hanging out a lot and playing the “Yuki” songs in addition to the
WBC songs and we decided that we wanted to play these shows billed as
“Yuki Yuki Yasumi,” playing a mix of both band's material. Andy
came aboard on bass so we basically played most of the shows that
summer as a four-piece.

As you can see, this is very special
set for fans of Wheeling Bitch Circus as it features songs off our
forth unreleased album, Temptation. These
songs have never been released in any format, until now, with the
exception of "Agony In Grey", which has been floating around the
Internet in anime music video format and is on the Wheeling BitchCircus Myspace. (A different live version of "Life Without You" is also
there as is one other Temptation
song,"Burning Midnight").
"The Jazzatrooper" is a parody version of an Iron-Maidenesque song Steve wrote called "The Paratrooper." I believe it is the only recording of us doing the "jazzed up version."
"Osaka Woman" oddly seems like it should have been a Yuki Yuki Yasumi song, with its lyrical content and intermittent Japanese lyrics. Steve wrote the music and I came up with the lyrics. It was intended to be a Japanese lyric one-timer for WBC.
