Eyes Of Innocence: Endgame Mix

Eyes of Innocence:

I envisioned this song to be some sort of a progressive rock epic, but the "drums" were taking too long. So, I did a electro-dance mix at zero hour, to get a version on Devoured By Japanese School Girls. That original "prog-metal version" is still sitting on the hard-drive in moratorium to this day.

I've had to make a lot of sacrifices being an independent artist with finite resources. You can compare this mix: the original:

to the "new mix I posted above.

The version I've recorded with vocals, if actually slowed down, has guitars, is HEAVY AS FUARK, and features "screamed" vocals. It will be part of a "free" release, as a "thank you" to those of you who bought my first album. More details will follow. The "free" release is will be an "EP," so I am working on a few new songs and remixes for it.

Oh and the lyrics:

-----------------
Eyes of Innocence
-----------------
I thought I could live without you. Despite you.
A testament to this lie I learned to despise. I ask why.
How could I remain the same, when delusions drive me insane, it rains,
Corrosive from the sky, I die.
In your arms, photos scattered on the bedroom floor, ignore,
The captured essence, a sulfuric incense, so intense,
Each last drop, awakens a pain so deep, hidden underneath,
if only you knew.
Walking tall, until I fall, off this flat earth.
(Not to be beguiled by images created for show)
Holding hands, till we understand, what it's all worth.
(Only to be defiled one last time)
Once with your arms to guild me, the wind, it wraps around me.
Now daring to break free, the eyes of innocence shatter me.
A pain I'm living, for you I'm giving. I know my love was true.
Echoing shame, each new flame resurrecting the pain, clenching to my brain.
Why escape? The mind rape. You perpetrate, when in fact, we can never go
back, The seasons turn, love drips,
from the tips of our lying tongues.
Each a roller coaster or a wreaking ball. Prior to feeling ten feet tall.
Should have known to listen to those butterflies, cause they're always
inside, when fixated on eyes, eliminating tries to pay head to an
internal clock,
Head rocks, Block selective memories. Protective energies. Circle cast to
thwart enemies, Eliminate tenancies to fall deeper into the darkest love.
Waves of approval sweep this death from above.
Walking tall, until I fall, off this flat earth.
(Not to be beguiled by images created for show)
Holding hands, till we understand, what it's all worth.
(Only to be defiled one last time)
